LinkedIn Profile Photos

The recommended profile picture should be at least 400 x 400 pixels. LinkedIn allows a maximum size of 7680 x 4320 pixels for profile pictures. It can handle files up to 8 MB in size.

To share a Link as an update on LinkedIn, the recommended image size should be of 1200 x 627 pixels. When you paste a URL as an update, an auto-generated thumbnail image comes up in the preview, if you have added in your article. This is the custom image that comes from a link you share.

Although, it comes up from an article on a website. But, you can still customize it by clicking on the image icon below the text box and uploading a different photo from your system.
